Find Adventure on the Rhine River

The Rhine River runs from the Alps in Switzerland through Germany, France, and ends the Netherlands where it empties into the North Sea.

By cutting through small villages and into medieval castle grounds, you can encounter part of this 130-mile trail. Journey through forested grounds and be treated to some of the best viewpoints found within the Rhine Valley.

Germany’s Riesling route, named after the famed grape that grows within the Rheingau region, features hiking along a paved route marked with what else but a wine glass marker. Hiking along the river banks you pass small wine villages and through terraced vineyards that shadow the Rhine river. As you cross through the scenic vineyards, stop in one for a tour and tasting of the famed German Riesling wines.
